We saw a need for a centralized, trustworthy space for pet adoption and services in Sri Lanka, one that prioritizes the welfare of the animals above all else. This platform is our answer.

Woofy began not in a boardroom, but on the streets of Colombo, with a single act of kindness. Our founder, a lifelong animal lover, found a stray puppy, weak and abandoned. After nursing it back to health, the real challenge began: finding it a loving home. The process was a frustrating maze of scattered social media posts and unreliable contacts.

It was in that moment of frustration that the idea for Woofy was born. Why wasn't there a single, trusted platform in Sri Lanka dedicated to connecting pets with people? A place that was safe, easy to use, and put the animal's welfare first.

From that one puppy, a mission grew. We poured our hearts into building Woofy.
